The highs and the lows

This charming heritage hotel boasts spacious, beautifully decorated rooms with gorgeous bathrooms. The prompt room service added to the experience, and the friendly staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Unfortunately, the service at check-in was frustrating, with long wait times and poor management of guest lines. It left a sour impression for what should be a luxury hotel experience.

our stay much more enjoyable. The breakfast was lovely, and having our rooms together was a nice touch for our family. However, the parking situation could be improved. it felt a bit cramped in the lot during busy times.

We enjoyed spacious rooms with super comfy beds, and a pleasant stroll around the lovely gardens nearby. The hotel’s vibe was exquisite, and we especially loved the fresh scents in the common areas.

In my kids’ opinion, the breakfast pricing was a bit steep.

The location was ideal for visiting the National Gallery and the Botanic Gardens. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The gym and pool were well-equipped for a good workout. Definitely check out the cafe in the courtyard for a nice coffee.

However, we really struggled with parking. We noticed security concerns when we saw cars being broken into nearby, which was a big stress during our trip. It would be nice if they could find a way to enhance guest security.

Had a great stay overall, with a spacious room and lovely buffet breakfast. The bathtub was amazing, perfect after a long day! Just wish the service was a bit more attentive.

The service at breakfast was excellent we felt like VIPs with attentive staff who kept checking on us. We enjoyed the outdoor bar area where staff were quick to take our orders and provide recommendations, making our evenings enjoyable.

It wasn’t budget-friendly, but you get what you pay for.

Just a decent option for a couple of nights in Canberra with best value. The staff were attentive to my dietary needs for dinner, making it special. Try to request a room away from the dining area for a quieter stay.

The checkout time seemed a bit early at 11 am. it would have been nice to have a bit more flexibility on that.

We stayed in a Deluxe King Room for two nights. The room was spacious with a super comfy bed and a lovely bathroom, which was a nice touch. It also had a great view of the well-maintained gardens. Definitely a relaxing vibe. Just a heads up, though – the hotel feels a bit dated in some areas, could use a little renovation.
